Here I will list things that will get your account frozen if you use them. They are what is considered by TNT to be a freezable offence, and are basically just ways you can cheat. The editorial questions and responses are listed as confirmation. DO NOT TRY ANY! There are tons of ways you can get frozen. Don't even be tempted to try any of these. I haven't and that's why my account is as old as it is. =D *knocks on wood*
This is when you use a program (autobuyer) that can buy items for you automatically from Neopets shops. It takes care of everything from refreshing to haggling. A popular way to get frozen. TNT mentions autobuyers in their Terms and Conditions and note the heavy legal/financial troubles you may run into!
From the section entitled "MISCELLANEOUS"
"You acknowledge and agree that you are not permitted under any circumstances or for any reason to cheat or utilize third-party games or code in order to win at, or gain Neopoints or Items from any Neopets game. You agree not to design, disseminate or use any third party programs designed to change the game play on the site including, but without limitations, programs such as autobuyers, flash game cheats, autofreshers, and snipers. Any use, dissemination or design of such programs is a breach of these Terms you will be responsible for any resulting damages to Neopets. You agree that if you disseminate, design or assist in the design of a third party program that changes the game play on Neopets, you will pay Neopets, Inc. liquidated damages in the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars for each such program as liquidated damages. You agree that if you use such a program on the neopets.com website, you will pay Neopets, Inc. liquidated damages in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars for each time you use a program."
The adblock add-on is useful since it blocks those pesky ads. However, some people have taken it a step too far by blocking all the bad items in a shop as well. The advantage comes up because you can see the good ones right away and your page loads faster.

Q: Hi TNT. I was just wondering if blocking the images of the junk (non-profit) stuff while restocking is a freezable offence? I'm asking because I have heard of some people doing it, but I'm not sure whether or not I should attempt it. Thank you! ~n00btactular
A: You should definitely not. Image blocking any items while restocking is giving yourself an unfair advantage, which is a great way to get a one-way trip to the freezer with all your accounts.
While not quite an autobuyer, autorefreshers are also banned by TNT. This is when you have a program that automatically refreshes a page at a set interval. While I personally don't see much use of such a thing in restocking, I have heard people talk about it.

Q: You have frozen many, many honest people for what you call "cheating" by having widely available browser ActiveX plug-ins that refresh screens automatically at preset time intervals. Refreshing a screen isn't cheating. It isn't a "program" that buys things or plays a game. How rottenrottenrotten of you. ~[removed]
A: Wow. Umm... where to begin?
What is the difference between using a program to outright buy an item, and using a program to help you click on that item and buy it before anyone else even sees it? Not much. Despite which of you actually did the final purchasing, the program is giving you an advantage no one else has, right? This is exactly what auto-refreshing programs do. If you can refresh a shop every two minutes using a program, that greatly increases your chances of getting an item. It's more precise than a human, and you can be off making Neopoints at Scarab 21 in another window while waiting for the shop to refresh. How is that fair? The same can be said about refreshing for avatars or Random Events, too. You are not doing the refreshing, so how can you say that you are the one earning the rewards?
So basically, none of those people were "honest," despite what you (or they) claim. They broke the rules and were frozen for it. Everyone should start on equal footing on Neopets, and while we have no control over connection speed, we do have control over whether or not we allow third-party programs. How well you do on the site should be determined by skill (and a bit of luck, of course) and not by how well you can download programs and install them on your computer.
By the way, a program being "widely available" does not make it okay to use. There are lots of things in the real world that are the same way.
Neopian Times Issue 58"
Q: Are refreshers allowed on Neopets?
A: No, absolutely not. Anyone found using a refresher or even linking to one will have ALL of their accounts frozen.
This is basically an autorefresher because it will load each shop bookmarked in an individual tab at the same time. Doing so allows you to check more than one shop at once, and TNT frowns on that automated part.

Q: On one of the editorials you mentioned that refreshing 100 pages at the same time will get you frozen faster than you can say Gerapitiku. BUT! What if you are a restocker and refresh continuously in different shops? Will I be at risk of being frozen because I restock at a lot of shops at the same time? ~berri_gallery
A: This is just fine. You can have a bunch of different shops open in several different windows that you can go through and refresh individually. Basically, we don't allow opening up a large number of pages and hitting "refresh all" so that you refresh them all at the same time, because that is something only a computer can do, which means you are using a program to aid you in playing Neopets.
This is specifically for cases where you repeatedly copy the same haggle into the box for the same item. One example that springs to mind would be in pharmacy, where several of the same good item stocks at once. However, keeping a specific haggle on copy and paste waiting on a rare item to restock has not been confirmed by TNT to be a cheat.
Neopian Times Issue 288
Q: There has been some controversy on the Battledome Chat lately about copying and pasting haggles while restocking. Will you please make it clear whether or not it's legal to do this while restocking? Thanks! ~you_got_mail_
A: Controversy on the BD chat? *gasp* Anyway, you were a bit vague so... two answers.
If you mean physically highlighting and copying the numerical part of, "The Shopkeeper says 'I wont take less than 34934 Neopoints for it.'" and pasting it into the haggle box on the next page, this is fine. It honestly doesn't seem much different in speed than tapping 34343 as quick as you can. Unless issues arise from it, we'll say this is fine for now.
If you mean constantly keeping a mid-range number in your clipboard while you restock the same item over and over, meaning that you're not copying and pasting manually every time, we're calling this a cheat, since you're not physically recreating the offer each time.
Don't do it. Making np in ANY form on a side account will get you iced pretty fast. The advantage you get from restocking on a side account is that you can bypass bans in this way, and that is considered cheating. Even restocking on a side account while your main is suspended is NOT allowed.
Neopian Times Issue 300
Q: Can you get frozen for using your side account to restock when you're restock banned on your main? ~nub_king
A: Yes, the bans are in place for a reason! The only ban we can think of that is okay for you to skirt with a side account is a Neomail ban (but that's only if you are honestly not spamming people and only got a little, erm… enthusiastic with the amount you were Neomailing people). That restriction does not affect game play.
We are also often asked if it's okay to restock on side accounts when your main account is suspended. Please note that a suspension is basically a "time out," and we request that you not do dailies or restock on your side accounts while awaiting the lifting of the suspension.
If your main account has been frozen, you can use one of your side accounts as a new main if you like (and discontinue whatever it was that got you frozen). If the original account is unfrozen, you're welcome to make it your main account again.
Disabling the javascript on your browser prevents all javascript components from working. This means that the popup to confirm your purchase will not come up and therefore it will be faster for you to get to the haggle page.
Neopian Times Issue 275
Q: I have recently noticed many restockers get iced. When restocking if you have JavaScript disabled is that considered cheating? ~zlqqlz
A: Yes, disabling JavaScript or images while restocking is considered giving yourself an unfair advantage over other players, and is not allowed. Even though it's a browser function and not a 3rd party cheat, it's still not allowed. Just like opening 100 window tabs and hitting "refresh all" trying to get Random Events will get you frozen faster than you can say, "Geraptiku" (or figure out how to pronounce it; one or the other). Don't get paranoid, though! If you don't know if you disabled JavaScript, you most likely haven't. This question probably doesn't apply to 99.87% of you, so don't fret about it if you have no idea what we're blithering about here.
